When the casual fan thinks of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, their mind likely wanders to the older age groups where professional possibilities and college aspirations are more within grasp.
But further down the chain, a collection of clubs in New England are competing in the DA, and you won't find rosters or standings online. It's all about players training in a high-level environment and partaking in quality games over quantity.
One of them is Valeo FC, which is set to add U-13 and U-14 DA teams for the 2019-20 season. The club, based out of Newton, Mass., already competes at the U-12 age group alongside six other programs from the region: Bayside FC, Boston Bolts, Global Premier Soccer, NEFC, Oakwood and Seacoast United.
