Earlier this week, the brackets were announced for the 2023 USL Academy Cup, which will be held next month in Tampa, Fla.
One of the largest soccer competitions in the country, the third edition of the USL Academy Cup is set to begin on March 30. The event will feature over 100 teams divided amongst three age groups -- U-13, U-15 and U-19 -- separated into Elite, Premier and Select Divisions, with boys and girls brackets across all ages. Divisions are based on previous record and region, encouraging sides to play against teams they wouldn't otherwise compete against in a regional league.
Teams will compete in a round-robin group stage, where they will play against every other team in their group. After three days of group play, the top teams from each group will play the other in their division for the chance to be crowned champions.
