The 2018 prep school goalkeeper field was thrown a major dent this past summer with news that Jamie Lowell (Brentwood, N.H.) – formerly of Phillips Exeter and Seacoast United in the Development Academy – would be heading west to play for the Seattle Sounders' youth teams.
Despite the would-be-junior no longer calling the NEPSAC home, teams throughout New England are still chalked full of quality 'keepers. The eight highlighted below can keep their team in a game or make that special save when called upon. Five goalies are also noted in an honorable mention category
They're not ranked, but rather listed in alphabetical order. Further, each goalie must have played NEPSAC soccer in 2017.
The NEPSAC has a tradition of producing top college goalkeepers, with Fordham's Rashid Nuhu (Kent School) and Cal State Bakersfield's Detre Bell (South Kent) proven examples. Could any of these prospects follow in their footsteps?
