New England Revolution technical director Curt Onalfo (Ridgefield, Conn.) jumped to the forefront of player development when the LA Galaxy hired him to coach their second team in 2011.
Now, Onalfo is helping the Revolution play catchup as their new reserve team, Revolution II, is set to compete in USL League One next year.
The third-division team, originally reported by New England Soccer Journal, will play at Gillette Stadium and possibly other locations around the region. The league, which currently features 10 teams, will expand to 14 teams for 2020.
