Three players from New England are officially on the U.S. U-15 national team’s radar screen, as they’re participating in a camp at the National Development Center in Kansas City, Kan.
The camp, which brings together 59 players overall, is overseen by Mirelle van Rijbroek, U.S. Soccer’s director of talent identification for girls. All players are born in 2005, with an eye on expanding the pool before U-15 international competition begins next year and players progress up the various age groups.
Here are the three players from New England: midfielder Francesca Valverde (Grafton, Mass.) and forwards Nicollette Kiorpes (Worcester, Mass.) and Julia Motuzick (Glastonbury, Conn.).
