When will soccer be back to normal?
It’s the question that hangs around all levels of the world’s game in New England, and one that doesn’t have a definitive answer as the COVID-19 pandemic spreads.
For Bryan Scales, director of youth development for the New England Revolution, May 2 fixtures at Gillette Stadium against Met Oval are currently circled. That date arises by taking direction from the U.S. Soccer Development Academy being suspended through April 30, though that situation could be fluid.
