Just like mid-year transfers at a college soccer program, the New England Revolution Academy tends to welcome a small handful of new players each winter.
So, if you notice some unfamiliar faces this spring, especially at the older age groups, that’s par for the course.
The underlying reasons look somewhat different this go-around, though, now that USL League One side Revolution II factors into the equation. Purely from a numbers’ standpoint, there was a more pressing need to bring in newcomers with their March 28 opener vs. Orlando City B looming.
