In any other year, this might be a match that decides the Class B title.
But seedings don't always pan out how some anticipate, so No. 1 Middlesex and No. 4 South Kent are left duking it out in Saturday's semifinal. And all signs point to the match being a doozy.
South Kent (13-1-3) enters having made every Class B final since 2013, winning each time except for '14 and '17. Meanwhile, Middlesex (16-0-3) recently won the Independent School League and its first Gummere Cup in over four decades.
In truth, not much separates the two programs – the Cardinals with a heavy international presence, and the Zebras more local.
