Before MLS suspended play through May 10 on account of the COVID-19 pandemic, New England Revolution director of sports performance Jarryd Phillips was satisfied with the team’s preparations.
They were 0-1-1 after losing against the Montreal Impact and drawing the Chicago Fire, but Phillips believed the team was improving.
"I felt like we were getting some real good momentum, guys were getting to a good fitness level, the guys were gelling," Phillips said. "That goes across the entire league – teams are trying to figure out chemistries, so there was probably [disappointment] for teams that got off to a good start and had good momentum.”
