When Chris Hamblin took the Harvard women’s soccer head coach job in 2016, he inherited a program that largely knew where the goals were going to come from.
The solutions? Rachel Garcia and All-American forward Margaret Purce, who’s now with the Portland Thorns in the NWSL.
But as .500 play settled in the past two seasons – the Crimson have gone 15-15-2 across that span – it became clear to Hamblin that more attacking talent was needed. Step in Harvard’s Class of 2023, which should provide some immediate answers and, equally as important, depth throughout the entire roster.
