Last year, NEFC’s U-19 team came ever-so-close to winning an Elite National Premier League title. But the group, led by Boston College men’s coach Ed Kelly, came up just short in losing 3-1 to Ohio Premier SC.
This go-around, NEFC made sure to return to Massachusetts with a winner’s trophy in hand, as the club’s U-19 team won the ENPL national championship Tuesday, 2-0, over Concorde Fire.
The goals came courtesy of Adam Fam (Dover, Mass.) and Walker Davey (Groton, Mass), the latter an all-Independent School League player in 2018 at Groton.
