Are repeats in the works, or will new teams stand atop the NEPSAC?
That's the pressing question as the prep school tournaments get underway on Wednesday afternoon. Loomis Chaffee (Class A), Thayer Academy (Class B), MacDuffie (Class C) and Vermont Academy (Class D) will all be defending some postseason silverware.
However, none of those four programs have the top seed in their respective brackets. That fact reflects how difficult it is to consistently find success in the NEPSAC, especially as the league improves year after year.
Ahead of Wednesday's quarterfinal games, we've broken down each Class A and Class B matchup. The semifinals are set for Saturday, then the finals will be held Sunday at Brooks School in North Andover, Mass.
