When it comes to incoming first-year players, college coaches are typically quick to pump the breaks on hype and anticipation. Understandably so, they don’t want to heap too much pressure on someone who’s yet to play a single minute for their program.
But with a certain New England native bound for Brown this coming August, head coach Kia McNeill (Avon, Conn.) doesn’t mind letting down her guard and speaking candidly.
Brittany Raphino (Randolph, Mass.), one of nine freshman soon joining the Ivy League program, was described as a “program changer” by McNeill, quickly supporting outside buzz that she’s a Grade-A recruit for the Bears.
