Because of her parents’ Italian heritage, Angela Caloia has been able to broaden her soccer experience by playing on Italy’s youth national teams.
It’s provided exposure to a culture not many players her age get to experience. But it’s at Harvard where Caloia has found a culture that suits her perfectly.
The freshman forward has made an immediate impact for the Crimson, with four goals and eight assists in her first eight games. Her 16 points lead both her team and the Ivy League. She also leads the league in shots (28) and shares the lead in assists.
