When Kevon Isa took over as the women’s soccer head coach at American International College in 2014 after serving as one of the team’s assistants the previous nine seasons, he assumed control over a team that had won the most games in program history (18) and made an appearance in the final four.
He also inherited a team that lost seven starters.
The Yellow Jackets won four games in Isa’s first year. Despite the setback, Isa believed the first year laid the groundwork for the future, and he hoped his players weren’t discouraged either.
