Two giants of European soccer and regulars in the UEFA Champions League are coming to Foxboro, Mass., this summer.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Benfica and AC Milan will play at Gillette Stadium on July 28 as part of the International Champions Cup. The annual event, organized by Relevent Sports Group, will feature 12 clubs playing 18 matches across the United States, Europe and Asia as part of a preseason tournament.
Games are scheduled from July 16 to Aug. 10, with each club playing three games. At the end of the tournament, the team with the most points will be crowned champions of the International Champions Cup.
