The 2022 USL League Two season has arrived.
Tonight marks opening night for New England-based clubs, as the Western Mass Pioneers play at Boston City FC (7 p.m.).
USL League Two is a pre-professional soccer league, consisting of players with professional aspirations, many of whom are currently playing at the college level. This year, 113 USL League Two clubs will enter the season across the country, split into 16 divisions and four conferences.
New England-based clubs -- AC Connecticut, Boston Bolts, Seacoast United Phantoms, Western Mass Pioneers, Vermont Green FC and Boson City FC -- will compete in the nine-team Northeast Division. Each team will play 14 regular season games into July, followed by the playoffs.
