For the 2019 USL League Two season, the Treasure Coast Tritons rebranded, welcoming in former Boston Breakers (NWSL) coach Tom Durkin to lead the way.
With that came an impressive roster build, with players from national powerhouses such as Maryland, Wake Forest, UCLA and Georgetown. But there’s also a strong New England presence, including a duo from Northeastern in striker Tim Ennin (Hartford, Conn.) and midfielder Adama Kaba (Norwood, Mass.).
Northeastern coach Chris Gbandi, a former MAC Hermann Trophy winner and All-American at UConn, views it as a positive experience for his players, one that should only benefit Northeastern.
