Since becoming New England Revolution head coach last season, Brad Friedel has often utilized ultra-pragmatic tactics, a strategy that paid off last weekend in a 1-1 draw at FC Dallas for the club's 2019 MLS season-opener.
But Friedel is hoping to open things up in the New England's home debut against Columbus Crew SC at Gillette Stadium on Saturday.
“They’re going to want to attack, we’re going to want to attack,” Friedel said before an indoor training session this week. “We’ll see who comes out on top.”
