Revolution II began its 2021 season Saturday night, beating Fort Lauderdale CF on the road behind forward Ryan Sierakowski’s first goal with the club in the 50th minute.
The game featured reserve sides from MLS clubs New England Revolution and Inter Miami CF, mixing academy prospects and professionals with college soccer experience.
There was also a weather delay in the 82nd minute, prompting a near-half-hour pause in what was the first professional men’s league match of 2021 in the United States.
