As an Ivy League university, Brown tends to attract students – and athletes – from all across the country.
But head coach Pat Laughlin has again looked locally when shaping the Bears’ future, as a second New England native has verbally committed for the Class of 2020. Recently, center back Taha Kina (Maynard, Mass.) committed to the admissions process at to Brown, joining midfielder Charlie Adams (Norwich, Vt.).
Kina attends Concord Academy and plays club soccer for GPS Massachusetts Elite Red 02, which is among the top National Premier League teams in the country. They’re coached by Andy Prosser.
