On Wednesday afternoon, six players from the New England Revolution Academy U-19 team confirmed their college soccer destinations for the 2019-20 academic year.
The side, coached by Marcelo Santos, recently won the Development Academy's U-19 Northeast Division after going 13-4-3 throughout the regular season. They now await a playoff draw for the DA's year-end event, which will be June 17-25 in Oceanside, Calif. Should the Revs advance, nationals are July 8-11 in Irvine, Calif.
"We are thrilled for all six players who will continue their careers at the collegiate level," director of youth development Bryan Scales said in a release. "Each player’s development and growth demonstrates the tremendous effort they’ve each put in during their time with the Academy. We look forward to watching their continued success."
