Early into high school, Jack Marvel (Marion, Mass.) knew he wanted to focus on academics when pursuing the chance to play college soccer.
That naturally shifted him towards the Division 3 route, where there’s a shorter spring season, less travel demands and a true offseason.
Lucky for the Tabor Academy senior, interest from Connecticut College picked up steam.
Part of the nationally-renowned NESCAC, the Camels just won their first NCAA tournament game and have been on a steady rise in recent seasons under head coach Kenny Murphy (Westport, Conn.).
