When Brad Friedel was hired as the seventh head coach in New England Revolution history last November, he said the team would not require major modifications to become successful.
Friedel appears to have changed his tune as the Revolution continue to falter.
After this Saturday's game, the Revolution could be a point away from elimination from playoff contention with three matches left in their 2018 season. A Revs loss at Atlanta United, combined with a Montreal Impact victory over Columbus Crew SC, would place them on the verge of failing to advance to the postseason for the third successive year.
