Since winning the Division 3 national title in 2013, William Smith has posted a 91-10-3 record and won five straight Liberty League championships. A mainstay in the NCAA tournament, having not missed since 2006, the Herons have seen scores of talent come through the ranks.
This year’s team has been no different, led by a talented sophomore class and a young core of attacking players.
“They’re going to be the nucleus of our attack,” said coach Aliceann Wilber. “To play this many minutes as sophomores, that's a lot to ... build an offense around.”
One second-year player, Sheila McQuillen, has stepped up as a leader down the stretch.
