Just like that, the Division 1 women's season is over throughout New England.
Boston College got upset in the first round of the NCAA tournament, and Boston University and Central Connecticut got bounced as well. That means the 2018 campaign, which began in earnest 13 weeks ago, is officially done and dusted.
It was a disappointing showing in the national tournament, but overall a solid year for teams within the region. Several programs are trending up, while others return to the drawing board and find themselves searching for answers.
