When it came down to choosing her college destination, Greta Caulton (Amherst, N.H.) put major stock in having a strong connection with the coaching staff.
Not only was she able to find a match for what she was looking for, she was able to find it in her home state.
Caulton, a Class of 2023 forward for FC Stars White and Souhegan High School, recently committed to the University of New Hampshire.
"The biggest thing that I was thinking about when going into college was I wanted to have a coach that I was connected to -- I think the coach is really important," said Caulton. "I really like Steve Welham. He was very nice and saw me as not only a soccer player but as a person. We talked about life and soccer, it was really nice to get to know him."
