Two lifelong friends and South Shore Select players have been named to the U.S. U-17 national team for the first camp of its 2019 cycle.
Allyson Sentnor (Hanson, Mass.), a forward, and Lilly Reale (Hingham, Mass.), a center back, were the two locals included in head coach Tracey Kevins' 20-player roster for the UEFA Women’s International Development Tournament. The event will be held May 13-17 in northern Portugal, about 90 miles east of Porto.
The U.S. will face Mexico on May 13, Russia on May 15 and host Portugal on May 17, with games featuring 40-minute halves. If the score is tied at the end of regulation, teams will go directly to penalty kicks to decide the winner. The U.S. won all three games at the 2018 version of the tournament.
