Cushing is yet to record a winning season this decade, though efforts to change that under first-year head coach Julia Allain are looking solid so far.
The Penguins began their 2019 season with two come-from-behind wins, starting with a 3-2 victory at Berwick Academy last Wednesday. Then on Friday, they rattled off a 4-2 win over Dana Hall in their home opener.
Freshman Lily Corso had the game-winner in both games, while junior Erin Rutherford scored three goals across the two contests. Sophomore Lily Stone had two goals and senior Jenna Viglione held down the backline.
