For almost a decade, Galen Flynn (West Hartford, Conn.) has played for Oakwood SC. The outside back, essentially, has grown up in the Development Academy club.
That longevity has paid off, as Flynn verbally committed to Fordham earlier this week, realizing his Division 1 dream. The interest piqued at the Summer Showcase in late June, then one thing led to another with the Atlantic 10 program in New York City.
"It’s a big relief to be committed, and I really loved about everything Fordham, the campus, the coaches," Flynn said. "Their minds are screwed on straight. They’re all teachers of the game, which is something that really excited me."
