COLONIE, N.Y. -- Sunday was a day of high-profile matchups at the NXT LVL Invitational boys prep showcase at Afrim’s Sports Park, just outside of Albany.
Some of those contests featured battles between New England powers, including a game that saw Class A heavyweights Worcester Academy and Northfield Mount Hermon square off.
Just like last year at the same venue, it was Worcester Academy coming away with an impressive victory. This time, the Hilltoppers captured a 2-0 win and improved to 3-0-1 on the season. Last year, WA beat NMH, 4-1.
"I’m very happy," said Worcester Academy head coach James Proctor. "This is a great group of (senior) kids that I’ve had since freshman year, really, and this will be the final year with them. Just a terrific group."
