One of the marquee matchups of the Independent School League season took place this past Saturday, as Milton Academy traveled to Middlesex in a meeting between two top-10 teams.
The end result was a 4-1 win for Milton Academy (4-2), the 2015 Class A champions, over Middlesex (4-1-1), last year's ISL and Class B champions.
The game served as the Zebras' first regular-season loss since Sept. 23, 2017 against St. Mark's, though more than half of their starting lineup is out injured. Middlesex's other result last week was a 1-1 draw with Tabor Academy. The encounter also ended their 34-game unbeaten streak against ISL opponents.
