Left-footed defenders are hard to come by, but that’s exactly what Loyola Marymount got when Northfield Mount Hermon junior Gray Hussey (Boston, Conn.) verbally committed to the West Coast Conference program earlier this week.
Hussey, 18, is taking the rare recruiting step of switching coasts, with the Lions located a few miles from Venice Beach and the Los Angeles International Airport.
Some players might approach that leap with apprehension, but the Class of 2021 standout is instead full of optimism.
