The Division III soccer landscape in New England took one step forward and two steps back Tuesday – particularly in the NEWMAC – as college athletics encountered further COVID-19 constraints.
Mount Holyoke and Wellesley, a pair of all-women's schools outside of Boston, both cancelled their 2020 seasons, while Babson announced its intention to play mostly conference-only games.
A decision is also expected soon from MIT, with the Cambridge-based school announcing that its undergraduate residential population will likely be at 60 percent of normal capacity.
