Sam McCann, as academy director Christian Gonzalez describes him, is a “lifer” at New York Soccer Club.
“He started with us when he was 10 years old and came up through our system, start to finish,” Gonzalez said. “He was doing futsal, extra sessions, the top teams, everything.”
When college soccer rolls around, McCann (Stamford, Conn.) will join another culture-driven environment after recently committing to Army West Point for the Class of 2021.
