The New England Revolution have made two Homegrown Player signings this offseason, most recently inking Indiana University forward Justin Rennicks (South Hamilton, Mass.).
Before then came the club's youngest local signing since Diego Fagundez (Leominster, Mass.), when 17-year-old Nicolas Firmino (Somerville, Mass.) turned pro in November 2018.
Prior to progressing onto the first team, Firmino spent more than four years in the Revolution Academy, scoring over 35 goals in 90-plus appearances. He also earned East Conference Best XI honors following the 2017-18 season, splitting time with the U-17 and U-19 teams.
