After an at-times-fraught relationship, Justin Rennicks has signed a Homegrown Player deal with the New England Revolution, his boyhood club.
The move was officially announced on Friday after Ives Galarcep first reported it late Wednesday night. Rennicks, a South Hamilton, Mass., native, recently completed his sophomore year at Indiana University, where he earned Second-Team All-Big Ten honors.
Rennicks has also featured extensively for the U.S. U-20 national team, most recently helping them win Concacaf qualifying to reach the FIFA U-20 World Cup, held this May and June in Poland.
