In years past, New England Revolution president Brian Bilello has expressed that building a soccer-specific stadium in Boston could coincide with an overall club rebrand. The Major League Soccer original, after all, plays in an oversized Gillette Stadium down in Foxborough, Mass., and carries a logo, color scheme and name rooted in their 1996 launch 6.
The club, at least in concept, is taking steps towards Bilello's previously-stated goal.
