This fall brought about serious changes for Nicolas Cardona and Eduardo Velez-Perez.
The former, a defender, transferred to Assumption in Worcester, Mass., after spending his freshman year at DePaul University. The jump to Division 2 from Division 1, though as a starter, was stark, Cardona said.
As for the latter, he spent his freshman year at Trinity in Hartford, Conn., starting 10 games on the Bantams' back line. The level play in the NESCAC caught him by surprise, he said.
