Our lead segment is with Amos Shapiro-Thompson (Worthington, Mass.), a rising sophomore midfielder at Boston College. He has quite the story to tell, with local roots at Milton Academy and the New England Revolution before heading overseas, initially in Spain.
His path took several more twists and turns, including lengthy stints at Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia) and Legia Warsaw (Poland), where Shapiro-Thompson neared a professional contract. But an impasse arrived and now-BC head coachBob Thompson came calling with an offer he couldn’t quite refuse.
