After 16 quarterfinal games on Wednesday across New England, the semifinals are set in the four NEPSAC tournaments.
The No. 1 seeds advanced in Class A, B and D, while No. 1 side St. Thomas More is out in Class D thanks to an inspired win from Pingree on the road. In fact, the higher seed advanced in 13 of the 16 games (over 80 percent of the time), reinforcing how important home-field advantage and seeding can be in the postseason.
