The MLS Next regular season is just a few weeks away from resuming.
But first, a few New England clubs escaped the cold weather and participated in the National Academy Championship from Feb. 14-17 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
The U-16, U-17 and U-19 MLS Next teams of IFA New England, NEFC, FC Greater Boston Bolts, and Seacoast United traveled to the Sunshine State to play against some of the top clubs nationwide.
Teams were guaranteed six games, and hundreds of college coaches attended the event. The showcase also offered a National Academy League bracket.
