This past weekend, the Best of the East Showcase and Tournament was held at WSFS Bank Sportsplex in Chester, Pa., and at Chase Fieldhouse Fields in Wilmington, Del.
It was an invite-only event for the age groups of U-15 through U-19, featuring some of the nation’s best talent, primarily from the MLS Next, ECNL and NAL platforms. Along with those clubs, a few other nationally ranked teams were invited.
All Showcase teams (U-17 and U-19) were guaranteed two 90-minute games, and all Tournament teams (U-15 and U-16) were guaranteed three 80-minute games. The event routinely attracts well over 100 college coaches, creating a great opportunity for uncommitted players.
