Nathan Askjaer attacks soccer with a relentless physicality.
"He has these amazing athletic gifts, strength and speed, and he doesn’t know how to go anything less than full speed," said Jim Willis, Askjaer’s coach at Cohasset (Mass.) High School. "He has a motor and a work ethic that most kids just can’t match."
So, it’s no surprise that Askjaer’s cross-training is next level. He doesn’t practice just one event with the Cohasset High track and field team, he practices the pentathlon’s five events -- high jump, long jump, shot put, 1,500-meters and the 110 hurdles.
