It’s not an exaggeration to say Middlesex is coming off its best season in program history.
The Zebras, back in 2018, won their first Independent School League title and NEPSAC Class B tournament. They also had a plus-50 goal differential and extended their unbeaten run against ISL teams to 32 games.
But head coach Ken Risley doesn’t think this fall should be entirely judged by championships.
“I will never set out saying we should win the title,” Risley told New England Soccer Journal before their Sept. 11 opener at Wilbraham & Monson.
