From afar, it’s easy to think this could be Sammed Bawa’s toughest year yet at Taft.
Some of the big-name players of seasons past – winger Carter Veley, forward MT Tshuma (Connecticut College), midfielder Marvin Sibanda (St. Lawrence) and center back Micah Umeh (Bucknell) – are all gone.
But head coach Ozzie Parente views things in a different way as the Right to Dream star enters his second year as captain. The senior midfielder/forward has long been verbally committed to the University of North Carolina and is coming off an Allstate All-American nod.
