On paper, Milton Academy looks to have all the pieces for a successful 2019 season. But head coach Chris Kane knows it won’t be that straightforward, as the Independent School League program learned last fall.
Jamaica U-20 midfielder Jeremy Verley, who’s now at Virginia, had appendicitis at one point. Center back Finn O’Brien, who’s now a postgraduate student at Phillips Exeter, blew out his knee. Galen Lewis, who’s now at Harvard, dealt with own injuries.
And those were just the seniors.
