Fall is officially upon us as we wade into the heart of the high school soccer season.
St. John's Prep remains scorching to start the season, sitting at 7-0-0. Much of their success in the last week, which saw three wins, is owed in large part to senior forward Matt Foley, who played a key role for the Eagles. Elsewhere around the MIAA, there are plenty more standout performances to highlight this week.
A friendly reminder: throughout the season, we’ll run a weekly watch list each Tuesday to coincide with our bi-weekly rankings, recognizing standout performances across the state from the previous week. It is impossible to attend every high school game in Massachusetts, so we rely on reports from coaches and social media accounts to select the performers in a given week. If you have a nominee, please email NESJ writer Patrick Donnelly at [email protected].
