Two weeks into the MIAA girls’ soccer season and the landscape is starting to take shape, thanks to some key matchups.
Top-ranked Natick opened with a 2-0 win against Brookline, as last year’s Division 1 semifinalist has started a surprising 0-3-1. Franklin has come through in a pair of tough Hockomock League showdowns against King Philip and Oliver Ames. And Norwell downed Hanover in a rematch of last year’s D3 final.
Norwell faces another tough test today, when the Clippers host defending D2 champs Notre Dame Hingham. The Cougars will be looking to bounce back from a 0-1-1 start at home that has seen them drop a 4-0 decision to Bishop Feehan and settle for a 1-1 tie against Newton South.
