The MIAA girls’ soccer season is only a couple of weeks old and we’ve already been treated to some highlights.
We’ve seen players pass the 100-goal and 100-point plateau, and we’ve seen a team lose in the regular season for the first time in five years. There have also been some critical showdowns, like Bishop Feehan’s 4-2 win against Medfield on Saturday, and Norwell’s 2-1 win over Notre Dame-Hingham last Friday.
And there have been plenty of noteworthy players.
We’ll be recognizing some of the state’s top performers throughout the season in this space. With more than 370 schools in the MIAA, it’s tough keeping track of every player on every team, so please feel free to send nominees to NESJ writer Tim O’Sullivan at [email protected]. We’d especially love to hear about outstanding players who may not show up on the score sheet.
